Repairs
Most stained glass panels and lamps can be repaired or restored. Unfortunately, it can cost more to repair than it’s original price, as there is often twice as much work taking it apart and rebuilding it as there could have been to build one new.
There are many factors effecting the amount of work and therefore the price of a repair including size, shape, age, quality of construction and materials used. The best way to get you a proper quote on the repair is for us to see it in person. If you prefer to email us some pictures first to confirm if we are able to do the work please send them to inquiries@bissettglass.com. Though we still may not be able to give you a proper price until we see it in person. All of the work is done in our studio, so the piece will need to come in anyway, and it will not be officially in our queue of work until it is in the shop.
We are unable to give quotes over the phone as we need to see the piece to get a proper estimate of the cost.
Patterns
If you’re a glass crafter and you’re looking for a pattern, we can help. Whether you’re looking to just have an existing pattern resized, or looking for a custom pattern of a treasured moment, pet, or occasion, we can draw it up for you. From a picture, postcard, or concept we can design a pattern with you in mind.
Custom Work
Bissett Stained glass designs, builds, and installs original custom stained glass. We will work with you to design and create an original window representing your personality and artistic tastes.
Some examples of things we can do are feature windows, french doors, side lights, transoms, room dividers, cabinet doors, back splashes, fireplace screens, lamps, and sun-catchers for schools, hospitals, churches, businesses, and private residences.
Some steps to consider before hand are:
1. We charge by the square foot based on the intricacy of the design and the types of glass chosen. Before calling to inquire, have a rough estimate of the size you would need.
2. We can build any design imaginable. Think about what you would like to see in that space, whether its a design or based on a picture, and if you have some colour preferences in mind. You can also come in and have a look at existing pieces or peruse through pattern books even if you just need a little bit of inspiration.
